HUMAN RIGHTS PROGRAM

"Human Rights Program '' was organized by Gazi University Social Work Department Student Society due to human rights week. In the program held in the architect Kemaleddin hall, after the leader of the social work student society, Dr. Ömer Faruk CANTEKİN's opening speech, TİHEK vice president Mesut KINALI delivered his speech titled "The Development of Human Rights: Human Rights and Equality Institution of Turkey". In the continuation of the program, TİHEK Anti-Discrimination and Equality Unit Coordinator Dr. Hicran ATATANIR delivered his speech titled “Struggling Discrimination and Equality”.

KONYA TRIP

Gazi University Social Work Department Student Society organized a trip to Konya, where important heritages of Seljuk and Ottoman Social Services are located, with the theme of "History of Social Work" on 02.01.2020. Within the scope of the trip, a briefing was held with the Head of Health and Social Services Department of Konya Metropolitan Municipality, Murat KÖZOĞLU, about the Social Services provided by Konya Metropolitan Municipality and the social card office was visited. In the continuation of the program, Seljuk Autistic Individuals Education Foundation (SOBE), which serves hundreds of individuals with autism as an exemplary model in Turkey, was visited and information about the activities of the foundation was obtained and the practices were observed on site. Lunch and dinner were served by the Konya Metropolitan Municipality and a book was presented to our students by the Mayor of Konya Metropolitan Municipality, Mr. Uğur İbrahim ALTAY. In the last part of the program, Mevlana Museum, Şemsi Tebrizi Mosque and Tomb and Sadrettin Konevi Mosque and Tomb were visited.

THERAPY ACTIVITY WITH MUSIC

The conference on "Therapy with Music", which we organized as the Social Work Department Student Society on 18.02.2020 at the Gazi Concert Hall, with the presentations of TRT Ankara Radio Turkish Art Music Artist and Gazi University Sultan-i Yegah Turkish Art Music Choir Conductor Mr. Bahadır ÖZÜŞEN and the Deputy Secretary General of Gazi University and Our Vice-dean, Dr. Instructor It was held with the participation of our member Ömer Faruk CANTEKİN and members of the Social Work Department Student Society. We would like to thank all the members of the Social Work Department Student Society and the board of directors who contributed to the realization of this productive event, as well as Bahadır ÖZÜŞEN, who accepted our invitation by not offending us.
